Platform information
1. Licensed Porters:
Licensed porters, attend all mail express and passenger train at
principal station for the purpose of carrying passenger’s luggage. These
men are not railway employees but are licensed by the railway for the
convenience of passengers and must be paid the following authorized
charges:
i) For carrying an ordinary load 40 kg from the station entrance to a
train and vice versa from one part of the station to another including
loading and unloading the same into and from railway carriage at the
rate of Rs 7 per porter per trip and at Lahore Rs 10 per trip.

ii) Complaints against
licensed porters should be made immediately to the station Master on
duty, the number of badges being worm by the porters be noted for
identification.
2. Platform Tickets:
Only passengers holding tickets are admitted to the station platforms.
At certain important stations, admission to platform may also be
obtained, on the purchase of platform tickets ( 5 Rs each).
3. Services of Cleaners:
The services of cleaners are available at important stations where
passengers can have the compartments cleaned free off cost by sanitary
staff deputed for the purpose.
