Installation |
Copying Process
1-Insert Examination CD into CDROM drive.
2-Create a folder Name Examination in your hard disk C drive.
3-Copy all your CD files to Examination folder.
Note:
1-If directory already exists; then do not copy all the files from the CD and only copy EXAM.MDE file. Note: Before installation backup all your old data.
2-Installation is complete but not ready to access. You shell configure the software with entering the data.

2-Select ‘conform’ from ‘Tools’ menu |

4-Enter the Serial Number which supplied with Examination software and then press “initialize software” |

Data Link Manager
Data link manager requires when new installation or changing of software location.
1-In Toolbar; select “Tools”, then select “Link Table Manager”
2-Check out “Always prompt for new location”, this is optional when you want to select new location for all of your selected data files.
3-Click “Select All”, it’s requires when all of the displayed files needed to be selected.
4-Press “OK” when you feel that’s all for your required selection.
5-New window appears where database file should be selected.
Installed database files:-
DATAEXAMS.MDB Main database file
EMPTY DATAEXAMS.MDB Empty database file
TEMP DATAEXAMS.MDB Demo database file
Compact and Repair Database
Data always increase when you update any records, so it require to be compact the at least once in a week. It repairs the database file; if a window crashes or shutdown in properly.

Subject (Data Entry Screen)
Sid Subject ID
Subject Subject titles code; No spaces, and short as posiable
Subject Name Full subject name
Teacher Subject teacher
In Subject column, do not write: spaces or unnatural characters. This field is use in table header for examination reports.
Do not use this -, “” = + or space or more
For example Use for account is acc_1
Student Information (Data Entry Screen)

Year Year of Registration of student
Exclude This record is not required in any calculation
Subject Name of student subjects

Enter Student Name, Roll number and selected Subject and year (AS or A level), if any student left then remove that chap from any further calculation so check out exclude box. This check box saves your data being deleted from your database. Registration year helps in retrieving student’s examination section.

This tool remove student for further calculation. Enter range for exclude or resume students.

Monthly Test Name
Enter month name for monthly tests, for e.g., Jan2001 or Jan01 as short as possible because. Don’t write unusual characters spaces or commas.

Monthly Tests
Select Monthly Test, then select Subject Name, and then checks out semester’s box AS or A level, type registration year of students. Enter total marks for required tests taken in this month. Enter best of 1 to 5 tests; systems calculate only best of n (best of value) results of each student. This theory define like this: if “Best of” box entered as 2 and he/she attend only 4 tests, systems pick only best 2 results from 4 tests. System also checks for students leave and absence. In case of absent; best of number remains, if leaves then system reduce the numbers according to his/her leaves.
Pressing of Get Student button, retrieve StudentRollno +StudentName and entered present in attendance field. Enter marks for each students, at the end click Calculate button to calculate student marks, Clear Result button clear the student result and grade only, Clear Student buttons remove every student and its records. Remember if you entered new students in student information section then you need to use get student again, this processes get only new students. Upgrade button use to upgrade student grading from B to A or C to B or D to C or E to D, This theory helps where grading need to change. This function help in that subject in which student always get maximum 80 or 90 marks so you can use upgrade to improve their grades by one step. Grade ‘F’ exclude in this function.
Remember clear result button remove only calculated results: Obtain, total, % and grade.

Mid Year Exam Name
Enter Mid year exam name, for e.g., Mid Year Exam 2001. Select monthly tests name from monthly test already registered. Do not change Test name after exam calculation. You can use null name, if there is no exam but you need to enter null in monthly test name section. Remember must select three test otherwise it’s not works.

Mid Year Exam
First select Mid-exam, system automatically gets mid exam monthly test names, then select Subject Name, and then checks out semester’s box AS or A level and type registration year of students. Enter percentage for exam and tests. Now you can use get student to retrieve student’s information. Tests always calculated from 100 numbers or you can say with in 100%, you cannot declare that numbers as 150, you must convert into percentage.

Note: Click “Preview” for reports. Before printing reports you must setup borders, header and footers. In Margin 0.25 inch for left, right, top and bottom. In Page style select “Landscape” or “Portrait” as report requirement.

Student Subject
Reports for students and there selected subject. We provide two style of reports one is to show all the students and other is subject wise.
1-All Student
Select the range of students, now Generate Table after generation of table click Adjust Column for adjusting column width regarding page layout. Click Preview Report for final output.
2-Subject wise
It shows only students information with select subject. Select the range of students, now select Subject, and then click Generate Table,

After generation of table click Adjust Column for adjusting column width regarding page layout.

At the end click Preview Report


Student Attendance
This report fulfil requirement for class attendance, it only produce name and blank space for attendance.
Select the range of students, now select subject and at the end click Preview Report.

Student Graph
Student graph displays 6 monthly tests results. Select the roll number for the student, and then select subject.


Monthly Tests Detail
Report shows all tests for specific student. Select the range for students, now select the subject and at the end click Preview Report.


Monthly Tests
Report shows only summery of total marks for monthly tests. Select the range of student, now select the subject and the end click Preview Report.




Monthly Report Per-Student
Report shows all the tests in that month. Select the range of student and now select exam name and at the end click Preview Report.


Mid Exam
Report shows mid year exam results. Select the range of student and now select the subject and exam name and at end click Preview Report.


Mid Exam Per-Student
These reports produce original copy for student for their mid exam. Select the range of students, and then select subject and last select exam name. Now click Preview Report A or Preview Report AS.
A- First year
AS- Second year
Report using background image, that image stored in same directory where your software save, you can modify background picture as required.


MOCK Exam
Report shows Mid year exam results. Select the range of students then select subject and select exam name. Now click Preview Report.


MOCK Exam Per-Student
Reports produce original copy for students for their Final exam. Select the range of students, then select subject and select exam name. At the end click Preview Report A or Preview Report AS.

Backup
Copy all software files to another folder after installation. And regularly copy files every week.
Upgrading
For upgrading software only copies EXAM.MDE file.
Tool bars
Find
Click on the field and then click on Find button. Type text to search and then click enter.
Page Setup
In reporting, page adjustments required for different printers.
Print
Prints reports immediately, if you require advance printing options then use ctrl + P.
Print Preview
Preview is to view exact information is going to print.
Save Records
This tools use to save your data changes.
